ADI Compasso d’Oro award: Honourable Mention for FUSION 4H

The awards ceremony of the XXVI edition Premio Compasso d’Oro ADI took place this morning at the ADI Design Museum in Milan. The proceedings saw Emmegi (Company of the Voilàp holding Group, based in Soliera – Modena - a leader in the design and production of machines and systems for processing aluminium, lightweight alloy, PVC and steel profiles) receive the prestigious Honourable mention.

Brainchild of the unforgettable Italian architect and designer Gio Ponti, the Compasso d’Oro supports and distinguishes companies whose DNA incorporates the unmistakable traits of design excellence.

The product that caught the attention of the XXVI edition Premio Compasso d’Oro ADI’s international panel of judges was the Fusion 4H, a horizontal nc welding machine for pvc profiles, which had already earned a place of honour in the 2019 ADI Design Index and been exhibited at Milan's Museum of Science and the “Casa dell’Architettura” in Rome.

FUSION 4H, with its spectacular choreographic impact is the demonstration that one can be powerful, innovative, effective and, at the same time, beautiful. Even in the workshop.

A cultural revolution with Emmegi on the front line, infusing the concepts of efficiency and beauty into products displaying outstanding standards of style and design, in the the firm belief that people work better when they work with inspiring machinery in an inspiring workspace. Beauty at the service of innovation.

Today in Milan, the award was presented in person by ADI president Luciano Galimberti and ADI Foundation president Umberto Cabini to Emmegi Product Development and Marketing Director Andrea Anesi, and Voilàp holding Design Team Manager Antonino Potenzano.

Out of 296 participating companies Emmegi Fusion 4H received one of the 38 honourable mentions awarded this year by the XXVI edition “Compasso d’Oro ADI” international panel of judges.

All winning products and projects, including the Soliera “born” welding machine, will be on show live or on video feeds at the new ADI Design Museum - Compasso d’Oro in Milan.
